Welcome, Hope!

Our adventures as a Foster Family really began nearly exactly three years ago when a tiny, white puppy came to our front door and turned out to be a dumped deaf puppy in need of rescue (read Luci's story here!). The wonderful volunteers at Austin Aussie Rescue helped us then, and we have been waiting ever since for the opportunity to pass it on. So when we heard last Sunday that the group had rescued a deaf puppy, we knew this was our chance (in spite of being a bit full here already)!

It's taken us all week to give her a rescue name (Snowball? Sugar Cookie? Noël? Snow Angel? Muse?) so that we could finally post her! But we have learned that she is a good natured, outgoing little puppy who is curious and courageous and darling. And she has amazing soft and silky fur and gives wonderful kisses. She has taken very well to crate training, just starting at the beginning on house breaking. We are introducing her to hand-signs for training-- dogs take to them very well, even our hearing dogs.

We are really looking forward to our time with this little one.
